Well-arrayed Achievement Guide

Unlock Well-arrayed by equipping one hero with six matching yellow armor-family pieces, using safe merchant and co-op trade checks.

Well-arrayed unlocks when one hero wears a complete yellow named armor family in all six equipment slots: head, shoulders, body, gloves, leggings, and boots. The pieces must share the same set name. Six yellow items from different families do not qualify, and spreading matching parts across Eradan, Andriel, and Farin does not complete the condition.

SlotVerification before equip
HeadCorrect hero, yellow quality, exact family name
ShouldersSame family spelling as the head piece
BodyRequirement met without removing another family slot
GlovesNot confused with a similar-looking named item
LeggingsStored on the same hero before final assembly
BootsSixth matching slot, equipped simultaneously

Start a family ledger on the first yellow drop

Record hero, family name, and slot. “Farin—family name—gloves” is useful; “yellow gloves” is not. Inspect companion inventories and equipped pieces whenever returning to a hub, because the missing part may already be carried by another fellowship member.

Keep the best copy of a duplicate after comparing requirements and bonuses. Do not sell a named piece until every slot for that family is checked. A modest boot can be more valuable to the achievement than another powerful body piece.

Wear normal upgrades during the campaign if a partial set is weak. The six-piece condition needs a simultaneous final equipment state, not an entire playthrough in incomplete armor.

Farm merchants through normal travel

Current completion guidance recommends checking shops in Bree, Sarn Ford, Rivendell, and Nordinbad during Legendary cleanup. Travel normally between available hubs and inspect stock for the exact missing family and slot. Merchant stock is reported to refresh through travel, but no specific piece is guaranteed on a particular visit.

Maintain enough silver to buy the missing part. Sell ordinary surplus and obvious redundant gear, but protect the working campaign loadout, recovery items, and every family piece. A complete set sacrificed to reach a silver counter defeats the purpose.

Allow normal checkpoint and Steam Cloud behavior during repeated travel. Do not force-close the game to manipulate stock.

Use co-op trading only with clear ownership

Current player evidence says a traded piece can qualify. Both players should inspect the item before dropping or transferring it: correct hero, exact family, and missing slot. The recipient confirms it appears in their inventory, equips the complete family, and waits for the achievement.

Do not leave the item on the ground during a disconnect or chapter transition. If it is borrowed, return it only after the unlock is visible and a stable checkpoint has completed.

If host and guest achievement states differ, record the roles and repeat the final equip in a clean session. Do not duplicate inventory or share save files.

Equip the set in a safe hub

Move all six pieces to one hero. Equip head, shoulders, body, gloves, leggings, and boots, then reopen every slot and compare the family name character for character. Meet all displayed attribute requirements so no piece silently remains unequipped.

Wait for Steam to register the state. If nothing appears, remove one piece, close the menu, re-equip it, and wait again. Then restart Steam and Legacy Edition cleanly before more intrusive troubleshooting.

Do not add or remove elf-stones during the trigger test. Keep the equipment state simple so the failure can be diagnosed.

Resolve a missing unlock with evidence

Capture each slot screen, the hero overview, Steam online state, and AppID 2523770 product identity. The most common likely errors are a mismatched family name, one missing slot, pieces split between heroes, or an unmet requirement.

If all six are valid and a clean re-equip fails, submit the evidence to Aspyr support. Original AppID 32800 achievement or DLC behavior is not evidence for Legacy Edition’s current state.

See Armor Sets for collection strategy and Farin Build for using the family after the unlock.
