Carn Dûm Walkthrough for Legacy Edition

Open Carn Dûm's successive gates, prepare level and kill milestones, and defeat Agandaûr without activating Beleram's final help.

Carn Dûm is the final campaign route and the last safe point for checking level 20, 600 kills, 25,000 silver, armor, and unresolved story conditions. Its outer fortress uses side passages and levers to open successive gates. The Citadel ends with Agandaûr, where the completion route requires ignoring Beleram’s help prompt and winning with the fellowship’s own weapons and skills.

Outer fortress

Clear side passages, find the lever for each gate, and remove sorcerers and archers before armored enemies.

Citadel audit

Check level 20 and 600 kills, sell toward 25,000 silver, but never discard the six-piece armor family.

Agandaûr

Roll clear of ground effects, punish missed lunges, control summons, and preserve an emergency resource.

Beleram rule

When the help prompt appears, do not activate it; finish the encounter directly for the related condition.

Open the outer fortress gate by gate

Each blocked advance should send the fellowship into a side passage for the next lever. Clear the room before interacting and wait for the gate state to update. If the route appears closed, inspect the last branch for a surviving enemy or missed control rather than rushing against the barrier.

Sorcerers and archers deserve early attention because their pressure makes armored melee enemies harder to manage. Eradan removes exposed distance, Andriel controls crowded approaches, and Farin prevents the front from crossing into the support lane. Move as a group through each newly opened gate.

Preserve recovery. A low-risk hallway enemy should not consume the resource reserved for the Citadel. Open loot only after the encounter ends and retain named set pieces.

Perform the final campaign audit

Before committing to the Citadel, open Gameplay Stats. The current completion route checks 600 kills and level 20 here. Ordinary fortress enemies can close a small gap; a large shortfall belongs in a separate plan rather than an exhausted final push.

If pursuing the silver objective, sell surplus toward 25,000. Protect essential weapons, consumables, and all matching yellow armor pieces. A missing six-piece family can take longer to replace than the silver gained from selling it.

Verify the seven-scroll quest, Frodo, and Glorihirin conditions were already completed. Keep the final no-Beleram condition visible in the session note so the prompt is not activated by habit.

Read Agandaûr’s attack lanes

Ground effects are movement checks. Leave the marked area immediately, then reposition where the camera can see Agandaûr and an exit. A missed lunge creates a safer punishment than attacking during an uncertain neutral phase. Use a short sequence and reset before the next signal.

Manage summons according to pressure. Clear them when they block revives, surround Andriel, or hide the boss animation. If they are controlled and Agandaûr is exposed, use the opening without chasing every minor target across the arena.

Farin can hold close pressure, Eradan can exploit precise distance, and Andriel keeps the fellowship recoverable. In co-op, name the revive cover and avoid clustering all players inside the same ground effect.

Refuse the final Beleram prompt

When the option to call Beleram appears, leave it untouched for the associated achievement condition. Do not test the input, highlight it unnecessarily, or assume a canceled activation is safe. Continue dealing damage with weapons, skills, and party coordination.

Earlier Beleram use in the campaign serves other counters and story moments; the prohibition here is specific to the final Agandaûr help opportunity in the current completion route. If it is accidentally activated, finish or reload through the game’s normal checkpoint options with the consequence understood.

After the victory, allow the ending and completion save to register. Do not force-close during the transition to the retained-save difficulty selection.

Preserve the completed save for Heroic

Inspect the completion state, hero level, equipment, and inventory, then exit normally and allow Steam Cloud to synchronize. Use the completed save for Heroic, carrying level, skills, equipment, items, and statistics according to current evidence.

If an achievement fails to register, record the exact prompt interaction, host role, difficulty, and AppID state. Do not replace Legacy Edition files with original-release saves. Continue with New Game Plus for the retained route and Missable Achievements for a recovery audit.
