The current completion route uses Farin as a durable Heroic and Legendary lead. Its attribute logic is equipment-gated: meet Dexterity for the chosen crossbow, meet Stamina for the chosen armor, build roughly 20–25 Will for skill use, then favor Strength. Apply that order to items you actually own, not imaginary best-in-slot gear, and read every live skill description before spending.
Dexterity stop
Reach the requirement of the crossbow you intend to keep, then stop unless a proven replacement needs more.
Stamina stop
Wear the armor that provides the planned protection; do not raise the gate for every merchant item.
Will target
Use the community route's roughly 20–25 points as a test range, adjusted by real resource use.
Strength finish
After the functional gates are solved, reinforce the Champion's heavy melee output.
Choose the equipment gates before assigning points
Inspect Farin’s best owned crossbow and armor at a hub. Record each unmet requirement and decide whether the item will remain useful long enough to justify the points. Meeting a threshold for a major defensive set piece or a ranged weapon that solves sappers is purposeful; raising four attributes to wear every temporary drop is not.
Dexterity in this route has a clear endpoint. Once the selected crossbow is usable, additional points compete with Will, Stamina, and Strength. Reopen that decision only when an acquired replacement is demonstrably better in the live comparison.
Stamina follows the same rule. Reach the armor plan, then observe whether Farin still falls during blocked or unavoidable sequences. Poor positioning and unsupported charges cannot be repaired entirely by a larger requirement number.
Assemble the defensive engine
Current AppID 2523770 completion guidance names Indomitable Spirit, War-cry, Dwarf-armor, Battle-fury, Battle-ready, and Determination in its Farin layouts. Inspect the current tree for prerequisites and rank behavior. The purpose is a sequence that helps Farin take the front, survive pressure, and convert the opening into damage—not merely owning every highlighted name.
Prioritize the passive or active that fixes the common failure. If Farin is interrupted before controlling a wave, survival and readiness matter. If he remains safe but cannot finish exposed targets, the offensive part deserves the next rank. If a skill is never used because the resource is empty, another active purchase will not solve the build.
Set activation cues. War-cry should answer a defined moment such as a dangerous wave or exposed boss phase. Defensive tools should be available before beginning an unsafe revive. Test each change through a complete encounter rather than on the first isolated enemy.
Add crossbow control without abandoning the front
Crossbow Adept and Explosive Bolt appear in the current build route. Their value is the ability to pressure distant or clustered targets while melee contact is unsafe. Use the crossbow on archers, sorcerers, sappers, or a boss transition, then return to the front when the party needs a barrier.
Do not aim so long that enemies reach Andriel. A short ranged response followed by repositioning is often enough. During siege objectives, protect the mounted-weapon operator or leave the emplacement when its lane is empty. Farin’s own crossbow fills gaps; it does not make objective awareness optional.
Test projectile travel, targeting, resource cost, and recovery on Normal or Heroic before treating the skill as a Legendary emergency answer. If a target routinely leaves the blast area, reserve it for a committed group.
Use the 20–25 Will range as evidence, not scripture
The community route’s Will range provides a useful checkpoint. At roughly 20 points, run a multi-wave encounter and note whether the planned defensive and offensive sequence fits. Add toward 25 only if the extra access changes a real outcome. Equipment bonuses and skill choices may move the practical need.
Once Dexterity, Stamina, and Will serve their defined functions, Strength becomes the default destination. Evaluate it through safe boss punishments and ordinary melee time-to-kill. Do not test by trading through attacks; that measures healing consumption as much as damage.
If a later respec is used, confirm the live menu and final values before leaving. The current completion guide publishes several Farin layouts for different achievement farms, but a specialized bomb or living-shield setup is not necessarily the best campaign configuration.
Complete and preserve a named armor family
Well-arrayed requires six matching yellow pieces: head, shoulders, body, gloves, leggings, and boots. Store possible family parts instead of selling duplicates blindly. Current Legendary routing recommends merchant checks through Bree, Sarn Ford, Rivendell, and Nordinbad because shop inventory refreshes with travel.
Compare the full set as a unit once assembled. A weak individual slot may unlock the complete family objective and a coherent defensive setup. Trading a missing piece in co-op can qualify according to current player evidence, but verify the recipient equips all six simultaneously.
Apply elf-stones only after the armor or weapon is stable. Improve a measured limit—survival during a revive, skill resource, or damage in a confirmed opening—and read the exact live effect before committing.
Change the build for a specific achievement farm
The Living Shield bomb farm, war-machine kills, headshots, and 600-kill total do not require one permanent layout. Respec only when the game’s current system permits it and the farm has a defined target. Preserve the campaign loadout or record its values before experimenting.
For the main story, keep the balanced engine. Carn Dûm and Agandaûr reward movement, controlled punishment, and companion support. No statistic compensates for activating Beleram during the final condition that specifically requires winning without him.
