Legacy Edition Boss Guide

Counter Legacy Edition bosses by reading their unique mechanics, safe damage windows, add pressure, revive timing, and final achievement conditions.

Legacy Edition bosses are easier when their unique rule is separated from ordinary damage. Tharzog tests basic party spacing, the Barrow-wight Lord uses Kilaran as a damage link, Bargrisar exposes recovery after heavy slams, Saenathra opens her abdomen after a missed lunge, and Agandaûr adds the explicit requirement to refuse Beleram’s final help prompt.

Linked target

For the Barrow-wight Lord, attack Kilaran only while he occupies the same barrier side as the boss.

Heavy recovery

Against Bargrisar, remain near the legs, evade stomps and sweeps, then answer the committed slam.

Exposed body

Against Saenathra, manage spiders and egg sacs, dodge the lunge, and strike the revealed abdomen.

Final restraint

Against Agandaûr, avoid ground effects and do not activate Beleram when the help prompt appears.

Use Tharzog to diagnose the fellowship

Tharzog arrives after Fornost has already tested exploration and resource use. Enter with all three heroes equipped and healing available. Keep the party inside support range and identify the exact source of a failed attempt: direct boss pressure, supporting enemies, a camera trap, or an unsafe revive.

Do not rebuild every hero after one loss. If ledge pressure interrupts Andriel, let Eradan remove it. If close enemies flow into the back, reposition Farin. If a long attack is repeatedly punished, shorten it and wait for a clearer recovery.

Let the post-fight quest and checkpoint complete before leaving the citadel.

Transfer damage through Kilaran correctly

The Barrow-wight Lord is not a normal focus-fire fight. Watch the barrier and Kilaran’s position. When Kilaran shares the Lord’s side, damage to Kilaran transfers to the boss. When they are not aligned, clear summons, recover formation, and wait for the next valid link.

In co-op, one player calls the linked state and another manages additions. Do not send everyone after Kilaran while summoned enemies cover the support hero. Reserve a healing or defensive response for a transition when the arena becomes crowded.

If damage appears not to transfer, stop attacking and recheck the side relationship rather than spending stronger skills.

Stay close enough to read Bargrisar

At Stone Chasm, remaining near Bargrisar’s legs keeps the main attacks readable. Roll stomps and arm sweeps, then punish after a committed slam. Extreme distance can make the closing motion and camera less predictable without removing the need to re-enter.

Use short damage sequences until the recovery duration is understood. Farin’s durability still should not be spent trading; Eradan should preserve an exit after aiming; Andriel should heal before another heavy pattern begins.

A revive belongs after the boss commits away from the downed ally. Calling the attack aloud gives a co-op group a clean shared window.

Control Saenathra’s arena before chasing damage

Spider numbers and poison create the real threat. Destroy egg sacs when the arena becomes crowded and clear additions that block movement or revives. Do not chase Saenathra through a hazard to maintain theoretical uptime.

Roll the lunge and turn toward the exposed abdomen. That is the dependable damage window in the current route. Leave after a short sequence so the next poison or movement does not trap the whole fellowship.

Assign one co-op player to announce new spider pressure. The other two can capitalize on the abdomen without abandoning Andriel or Radagast’s objective space.

Negotiate with Urgost instead of creating a fight

Urgost is included because the correct “boss” solution is restraint. Enter the lair with weapons lowered, allow the conversation, and accept the demand that advances the campaign. Hostile experimentation belongs on a separate save after the completion route, not in the seven-scroll run.

The final two Lidless Eye scrolls should already be collected before the meeting. Afterward, return to Elrond and turn them in before Siege of Nordinbad.

Defeat Agandaûr without Beleram

Roll clear of ground effects, punish lunges after they miss, and manage summons when they hide attacks or block revives. Preserve one emergency action for the later phase rather than emptying every skill at the start.

When Beleram’s help prompt appears, do not activate it. Continue with the fellowship’s direct damage and support. This is an input-restraint condition, so avoid touching the prompt merely to inspect it.

After victory, let the completion save initialize before moving to Heroic. For chapter routing, use the Walkthrough hub; for the final route, see Carn Dûm.
